Starting Monday strong in a neon power suit: Summer Style Edition! I always like a pop of color to start my week - it’s all-around positive vibes with a definite side of eye-catching ability. But what I love most about this look is how comfortable and confident I feel in it! You can wear it down with chunky ‘dad’ sneakers or style them up with high-inched stilettos. Whatever floats your boat in terms of style, a pant suit can bring a lot of variety to your closet. You won’t believe it but this power suit is now on sale at only $15! What’s cool about matching sets is its versatility. Like this pantsuit - I can wear the blazer by itself (styled with a green dress in this post here) or the pants vice versa. The blazer looks great with dresses, jeans, shorts, and skirts - and the pants look great with a white tee or different colored blazer such as black or white. My favorite is with the two together, as it makes quite the statement… don’t you think? How would you like to style this pantsuit?

Being that it’s summer, I chose to wear sandals with the power suit to give it a more laidback yet still chic vibe. Very L.A. ‘workdrobe’, ha ha! I could have kept the outfit completely monochrome and styled it with a neon handbag but I thought a different color would make it even better. Which is why I went with this gold snaked embossed crossbody by Piper & Skye. The brand inspires elegance in every day life - so I styled it in two different ways while still being completely practical for everyday. One way was the belt bag style and the other is crossbody. You can also carry the bag as a boxy clutch.

The neon faux suede flat sandals are from Ego Shoes. Slip on and pair with cropped frayed hem jeans for daytime or slip into a floaty maxi dress for vacay vibes. I styled my hair in a pretty sleek braided ponytail to give the look a stronger feel to it. The chunky big hoop earrings are great when the hair is worn up, such as this kind of look. Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Can’t say mine was too sweet… had a terrible allergic reaction in one of my eyes where I’ve looked like Quasimodo for the past few days. It looks awful, I won’t even do stories. It’s been fun telling everyone my hubby clocked me. Ha ha! Kidding aside, it’s brought a little bit of stress on deadlines (especially beauty campaigns) but all will be well. One step at a time, and it’s okay to slow down when you are not well. Plus, GoT came back on so I’m complaining about that! I’m still on the mend - my theory is it’s either a bug bite or a very bad reaction to a questionable mascara. Other than that, you got me. So today’s post is light and simple - a beautiful airy yellow cami midi dress for spring/summer that’s a must-have in any woman’s wardrobe. I styled it with a long green cardigan and layer with a white shirt because it was still chilly when we shot this last week.

Pair with denim cutoffs and a cropped cami for beachy vibes or slip on with a floaty mini dress to toughen up your look. I thought it went really well with what I had on, keeping a nice juxtaposition of hard and soft feel here. And these white platform sandals are a dream to walk in - like clouds on your feet! I think they’ll look cute in socks for chillier days too, so I’m sure you’ll see these sandals make a reappearance at some point.

How to Wear Leopard Green

It’s Friday and I’m on the prowl! One can definitely say when it comes to my style, I’m far from minimalist. As my friend put it last night in a witty description, I’m a ‘maximalist’. And I think this look states just that. It’s loud, rocker chic, with a subtle side of glamour. Definitely some sultriness going on in today’s post as well, follow along to get a closer look at the entire outfit, along with makeup and accessory details, hair, bag, shoes… oh my! A dangerously playful fall vibe. Check it!

What’s super hot in trending fashion right now? Animal print! But more so, leopard. Anything from head to toe, I can get on board with. I literally am in search of a leopard newsboy cap because HOW freaking cute would that be?! When I first noticed this blazer, I was immediately drawn to the print and color. The AKIRA label On The Prowl Leopard Corduroy Blazer is a chic and sexy, tight fitting blazer, ready to bring the heat to your future fall outfits. A textured corduroy material makes up the base of the jacket while a bold and fashion forward lime green leopard print pattern encompasses the entirety of the blazer. Pair with the matching AKIRA Label On The Prowl Cropped Leopard Corduroy Pant and some pointed toe pumps to complete the look. However, I went a different styling route.

Don’t get me wrong. The matching set would be dope too, but I really found the blazer alone with a pair of wide leg jeans - these ones are from DL 1961 Denim and are my favorite jeans brand ever. It gives less busyness around the look, separating different materials always spices up a look, so I even played with different prints, like the leopard with python skin. I did all my makeup using only Urban Decay products, especially the new Naked Cherry eyeshadow palette which is the BOMB, along with the Naked Cherry highlight & blush palette. The lipstick I’m using is called “Devilish” and is a beautiful berry pink with tonal micro-shimmer. And the eyeliner I’m using is called “Overdrive” in a deep green metallic, which I found really fitting with the accented pinks of the eyeshadow, lips and bag, along with the lime green colored blazer. To polish up my look along with hiding my overgrown bangs (thank goodness for my hair appointment tomorrow morning!) I pulled my hair back using six bobby pins on each side. I have thick hair so it takes a ton of pins to get it to hold. I paired them in threes - with a gap between the held lines of the bobby pins. I think it really cleans up this look well, don’t you? Just a bit of glamour never hurt anyone. Heels are by BCBG and are no longer available but I did link a very similar pair here that’s about $67. Classy yet affordable. Earring is by Bing Bang NYC.
