Salmon Pink Blazer

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY STYLEWE BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

When I think of colors such as pink and white together, I normally think this to be a spring palette of some sort, but I wanted to style a look for transitional weather with the same color combination. And since one of my go-to essentials in my closet has always been a good steady blazer, I knew I wanted to style one within these range of hues. So in today’s post, I’m sharing a pink and white look that has all the right pieces for summer, in-between seasons like an Indian summer, and my favorite season of all: Fall.

How good is this salmon-colored blazer? It goes perfectly with my bag from Thesis Crisis. One of my favorite ways to style a blazer or power suit lately is pairing it with a simple sports bra, like this one that is unpadded and super comfortable for warmer weather. To help not have the black stick out, in not a good way, I wore these resin hoop earrings which also blend well with my hair color. All in all, color choice is always important to me when styling a look together.

Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? With these sleek Palazzo pants, they work perfectly in transitional kind of weather. Works at the beach or in the city - I’ve always enjoyed pieces that are used for more than one purpose. To balance the contrast from the pink and white combination, I wore red-tone strappy sandals. I’ve been really into 90s style as of late, and these kind of shoes are just that. Plus who doesn’t love a low heel? Wishing you a wonderful end to summer and an enjoyable return to fall activities!

Summer Neon Power Suit

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY EGO AND PIPER & SKYE, BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

Starting Monday strong in a neon power suit: Summer Style Edition! I always like a pop of color to start my week - it’s all-around positive vibes with a definite side of eye-catching ability. But what I love most about this look is how comfortable and confident I feel in it! You can wear it down with chunky ‘dad’ sneakers or style them up with high-inched stilettos. Whatever floats your boat in terms of style, a pant suit can bring a lot of variety to your closet. You won’t believe it but this power suit is now on sale at only $15! Continue to see full visual story along with where to shop this look.

What’s cool about matching sets is its versatility. Like this pantsuit - I can wear the blazer by itself (styled with a green dress in this post here) or the pants vice versa. The blazer looks great with dresses, jeans, shorts, and skirts - and the pants look great with a white tee or different colored blazer such as black or white. My favorite is with the two together, as it makes quite the statement… don’t you think? How would you like to style this pantsuit?

Being that it’s summer, I chose to wear sandals with the power suit to give it a more laidback yet still chic vibe. Very L.A. ‘workdrobe’, ha ha! I could have kept the outfit completely monochrome and styled it with a neon handbag but I thought a different color would make it even better. Which is why I went with this gold snaked embossed crossbody by Piper & Skye. The brand inspires elegance in every day life - so I styled it in two different ways while still being completely practical for everyday. One way was the belt bag style and the other is crossbody. You can also carry the bag as a boxy clutch.

The neon faux suede flat sandals are from Ego Shoes. Slip on and pair with cropped frayed hem jeans for daytime or slip into a floaty maxi dress for vacay vibes. I styled my hair in a pretty sleek braided ponytail to give the look a stronger feel to it. The chunky big hoop earrings are great when the hair is worn up, such as this kind of look. I think the gold accents pair nicely with the neon color, what do you think? Thanks for stopping by and checking out this outfit! 5 WAYS TO WEAR YOUR HERMÈS SCARF

Happy Friday! For my birthday this year, my husband gifted me an accessory I’ve been wanting for quite sometime: An Hermès carre scarf. Timeless, classic, utter perfection. The story behind the scarf: Artist Pierre Marie pays tribute to the "Les Amoureux de Paris" scarf, designed by Maurice Tranchant in the 1950s, on which several famous couples silhouette against a map of the City of Light. A marriage proposal on the Right Bank, a couple dancing on the Left Bank, love is alive on both sides of the Seine in Paris, the most romantic of cities. A jogging couple head for the Tuileries Garden, two cyclists embrace near the Madeleine church, a pair of skateboarders meet up in the Quai de la Gare quarter. The new interpretation is illustrated by contemporary lovers, straight out of everyday life. It holds such a beautiful message on top of such a beautiful piece. And what I love most about this scarf is its versatile abilities when it comes to styling. The possibilities are endless. Which is why in today’s post, I’m really excited to be sharing 5 different ways to wear your Hermès scarf! I could have worn it in so many other ways with this particular piece, but I chose to go with styles that I’d wear often, are practical and chic. Continue reading to see how you can achieve the looks along with where to get this beautiful scarf!

THE CLASSIC HEADSCARF

Head scarves can be dressy and classic - think Princess Grace of Monaco or Audrey Hepburn - or sporty and casual... and an excellent solution to 'bad hair' days! I tied it in the front under my chin here but you can also try crossing the ends of the scarf under your chin, then take them round to the back (or side) of your neck and tie them. Pair it with some sunnies for the French Riviera look!

THE HEAD WRAP

A street smart update on the classic headscarf. I actually refer this the pirate/painter way as these are the types of people wearing the scarf as such, lol. Fold your scarf into a triangle and drape it over your head with the long edge of the triangle across your forehead. Take the two ends back across the sides of your head and tie at the back in a square knot.

THE BELT WRAP

Tie the silk scarf around your waist, swap ends to the opposite hand, then tie at the back to secure. It instantly adds a pop of color and pattern and is an unexpected detail that can totally make a basic outfit look so much more polished and stylish. Wrap it through your belt loops and knot it in front, or wrap it around your waist to carve out your shape in a billowy dress or top. So easy, so chic.

THE PONYTAIL WRAP

A glamorous way to accessorize a simple ponytail. A ponytail is not just a ponytail when accented with a beautiful scarf! This style can employ either an along-the-length folded oblong scarf or a square scarf in a bias-band fold.Fold your scarf on the bias, then wrap it twice around your ponytail, finishing with a square knot. For a very dressy look for evening, tie the ends in a big bow!

STANDARD SCARF WRAP

I could have shown the Lady Lavallière - silk ties for the butterfly effect. (Looks like a huge bow) but I could not see myself wearing it this way as every day use. So I went with the standard scarf wrap, except I kept the triangle end unfolded to create a little more flair to something that is quite traditional. What do you think? You can also styles scarves around handbags, wrists, tops and so much more.

Best Way to Wear White to Someone Else's Wedding

WEARING: METISU WHITE FISHTAIL HEM CUTWORK LACE MAXI DRESS | PUMA SNEAKERS | MAD STYLE SLICE CROSSBODY BAG | ZALES 14K GOLD HOOP EARRINGS | AMANDA PEARL QUAD QUILL RING | LONDONTOWN NAIL POLISH IN 'GUILTY PLEASURE'

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY METISU, LONDONTOWN AND AMANDA PEARL

Wedding season is upon us and though it is not customary for anyone to wear white other than the bride, today I'm sharing you a few tips that could have you wearing the controversial color as a guest in the next wedding you attend! Now before you continue reading any further, know that I'm not advocating wearing a solid white of any kind, unless you're the one who's getting married, let alone stealing anyone else's thunder. But not all weddings are traditional and a lot of brides nowadays don't even wear white themselves on the big day, so don't just assume it's inappropriate. In today's post, I'll show you the best ways to wear white to someone's wedding, along with when and where this can be applied.

Wearing a white-based print dress will make you feel less nervous than wearing an all solid white one. If the bride is traditional, then perhaps going with something with more bold colors and print to not have white the base color. But this Metisu white fishtail hem cutwork lace maxi dress is just darling for a country wedding. Definitely a more casual kind of wedding, I'd totally wear this print white dress to a wedding somewhere in the Midwest! This one may not be as fitting for a more luxurious, swankier one, but this dress is also perfect on its own with no wedding invite. I'd wear this to a baby shower, a picnic, even just around the city with some sneakers like I did here in my favorite Puma's.

Another great way to work with the white is to pile on the accessories. Think of your white dress like a blank canvas and go crazy decorating it with amazing and colorful accessories. Make them the star of your outfit, not the dress. I paired this sliced fruit crossbody bag with the cherry-print to make the look more playful and summery. To keep with the cherry-red accessories, I also painted my nails in a lovely similar color by Londontown USA in 'Guilty Pleasure'. I think all of the accents of pink-reds definitely tie the outfit together. It takes a little focus off the white.

The jewelry I have on is all gold beside my wedding band and engagement ring. This amazing gold ring is by Amanda Pearl, an edgy little piece of armor for the hand - I like it in multiples. And the gold hoop earrings are 14k gold and made by Zales, which also happens to be the same brand that did our wedding bands! I always loved pairing gold accents with any shade of red, how about you? Do you think it's better to wear minimal jewelry to a wedding or big bold statement pieces? In my opinion, I think it has to do with the outfit itself. If you have a busier piece, then more minimal jewelry. If your overall look is more minimal, then I'd say statement pieces are a better way to go.

What's your take on wearing white to someone else's wedding? Would you even take the chance? How about in an ensemble like this one in today's post? Don't forget to leave your thoughts in the comment section down below. As always, you can directly shop the pieces in the beginning and end of every blog post on MaQ + Suz. Wishing you a fantastic week (and wedding season.) ;)

Happy Monday guys! Have you seen my latest posts on Instagram? I've been super pumped to share this new outfit post! It's minimal chic and has one of my favorite patterns as of late: the windowpane print! It looks like a grid of some kind, and definitely polishes up any look, either dressing up or dressing down. You'll definitely be seeing more of this coat next month during my travels! But to the more important question... where is this coat from and where can you get it? Continue reading to find out and also to see one of my dream collaborations come true! I've been wearing their shoes since I was a teen. (Since I have the teeniest Asian feet I have to be more selective when it comes to shoe brands as not all brands carry my size!) Trust me, when you see this pair, not only will you be coveting hardcore - you'll want them in EVERY color!

Not too long ago I worked with a very well-known skincare brand that I have been using since I was a teenager. (See post here.) I sometimes feel the need to pinch myself (but really no.) with some of the partnerships I've had in the past year. Some are global brands and I feel so privileged to be working with people/brands that are just as passionate and hard-working as I am. And with that, I'm so excited to share my collab with Nine West! When I first got into the digital media world, I never imagined I'd be working with some of the incredible brands I work with now. To even think I've worked with some of them still baffles me. It really goes to show you that if you want it bad enough and are willing to work your butt off, the results will be amazing. Just like these pointy toe white pumps. I can't get over how comfortable these heels are. They have a padded insole for all-day comfort. A high top line and a triangular stacked heel can freshen up any kind of look. From jeans to a dress and more, these shoes are extremely versatile and aesthetically pleasing. Want to buy 'em? Check the link on Instagram and also at the end of this blog post. As always, I leave shopping links at the end of each article.

The plaid, windowpane patterned coat that I raved about in the beginning of this post is from SHEIN Official. SHEIN prides itself on offering on-trend styles catering to both young women and teens, that won’t break the bank. SHEIN is able to stay on top of the latest fashion trends from around the globe while rapidly bringing these styles to market. So whether you’re searching for boho dresses and graphic tees or patterned blouses and chic swimwear, SHEIN is the ultimate one-stop-shop for the modern yet economical fashionista. The coat is meant for spring or fall, but I'm all about the layering game when it comes to winter time. The only factor that is missing from this coat is definitely a belt. But you can style it with your own accessories to give it a unique feel.

The fringe patch mesh blouse is also from SHEIN. The waistline is high-rise and the top overall is quite elegant. It would go great with a midi skirt or jeans. Even a wide leg pant would do. I think I'll be wearing this blouse a lot in the next coming weeks. When it came to styling these pieces, I wanted to mix in a bit of edge as it's my style. I've never been one to wear pearls or douse myself in millennial pink (not that there's any shame in that!), so I decided to finish the look with a pair of faded black skinny jeans from J Brand and sleek silver hoop earrings from Rosegal. My nail polish is by Essie in 'Blanc' - I don't know why but I'm obsessed with white nails during the winter time. I believe it really gives a crisp touch to an outfit, what do you think?

Lastly, how beautiful are my new sunglasses?! They're from a Korean-based brand called Accrue. I'm completely in love! Use my discount code, ‘ILOVEACCRUE’ for 15% off your purchase. For more go to www.accrue.kr How are we feeling about this outfit? Do you like to mix different feelings in a look like myself? What's your favorite 'concoction' when it comes to styling all the new (and old) trends? Please drop a comment down below (and don't forget to shop as well!) ;) I love hearing from my readers - you guys always give the best feedback!
