Hi, guys! Happy Sunday! Hope you're all having a great weekend. Sorry for I've been missing in action since Wednesday. With events, meetings and my birthday being on Friday, it's been rather hectic. I'm happy to report I had such a great birthday! I'm not big on celebrating, but I had a great 'Italian-filled' day, which included a brand-spanking new Gucci belt (can't stop wearing it HA HA HA) and a lovely dinner at Cipriani downtown. My favorites at this restaurant include their AMAZING bellinis, cucumber salad, and gnocchi. But for my birthday I had lobster armoricaine, which was out of this world! So delicious... now I really want to cook lobster at home, but I fear I may be like Julie from Julie & Julia, who panics while killing the poor little creatures... ! I think I may have to conquer this fear in the kitchen... lol!

I also wanted to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday! All the texts, phone calls, and messages through social media made my day. It's so good to hear from you and from all parts of the world. Sending you nothing but my love & positive energy, you're all so wonderful! I hope to see each and every one of you soon.

In today's post, I'm showing you how to style an oversized coat for the Spring season. This NARCISS coat is perfect for Spring weather when you want to ditch your winter coat for something more light and airy. I wore this cute VIPme knitting black top to not only stay warm (the last few days have been pretty temperamental in terms of temps) but also to not overwhelm the statement piece, which in this look is the NARCISS coat. To also balance out the rock n roll vibe of this insanely gorgeous linen coat (with leather appliqué), I accessorized it with a cool pair of Maumero ankle boots and this rocker chic crossbody bag from Mad-Style. What makes this bag unique is the guitar strap that reminded me of my father (it's his birthday today and would have been 63), as he was a true artist and played the guitar most of his life. In all honesty, I think I get my rock n roll 'edge' from him. My mother was also a rockstar, but I really inherited my dad's soul. The guitar strap will definitely be trending in the next coming seasons, as it should! It's so sturdy as a crossbody strap and will certainly bring an edge to any outfit.

Also from Mad-Style is the minimal and chic clarity hinge bracelet. I love simple jewelry and this piece is definitely my style. Simple tip when wearing an oversized coat: Don't supersize everything on top of the coat. You'll look like you're swimming in your garments! Keep the bottom half more tailored. How to Wear an Ankle Length Kimono Wrap

Happy Monday! New York City's spring has not sprung yet and we're about to embark in one last blizzard (hopefully) of the winter season. A blizzard in NYC means over a foot of snow, so I know a lot of my fellow Michiganders are scratching their heads over this ha, ha but it went from a foot to now two feet... and I had an early meeting at a showroom tomorrow that just got postponed! I bet I'm not the only one who is SICK of the cold and nasty-ass weather.

But this won't stop me from showing you my new favorite spring piece for the upcoming season! Prints are still on-trend but those unique finds that aren't only suiting your personal taste but complement with your already-diverse wardrobe are what gets me excited to style it. I've been searching for a kimono that not only flattered my petite frame but was also not a cliché type one (sorry folks, I've seen far too many that make my eyes cringe.) But when I stumbled upon this one from Rosegal, it wasn't just the print that caught my eye. The details such as the length and the velvet straps on the sleeves and waistline made my heart skip a beat.

I styled the ankle length kimono wrap with a pair of Rosegal black jeans that have such a fun fringe on the ends. To give the rough edges a soft subtlety at the same time, I wore mules with a low heel. The black suede also make them super comfy to walk around in, I just wish it was a little warmer so I can actually start wearing them! My favorite black sweater from Zara is also a great transitional piece from winter to spring, especially on those chillier days. This blue bag by Little E NYC is made from genuine full grain leather with a beautiful faux ostrich skin texture. I love the size of the bag as it can easily fit my iPad and other work essentials while running around the city. And how chic is it for spring?! Happy Thursday, loves! I'm so excited to share with you my new spring trench coat by Karoline Lang! Reasons I love this trench coat so much: One, the double collar is so chic and brings added texture along with layers for days not so spring-y. Two, the color is phenomenal. One of my all-time favorite blue hues, periwinkle is such a lovely subdued color. It's definitely trending this coming spring season. Three, it fit me like a glove!

I love discovering designers, especially one with clothes that complement my petite frame. I styled the trench coat with Nine West plaid pants as I loved how each pattern from the pants and also the double collar of the coat suited each other. Another fabulous and comfy trend for spring – a low heel. The lower the better. Don't get me wrong, I have a few sky-high pairs of what some might call heels (:::giggles:::) but being comfortable results in feeling confident, thus looking and feeling great. Plus, I'm a walker, no not the zombie-type, but city dweller. It's my form of relaxation these days, and I Iove nothing more than taking a stroll with MaQ to clear my head. The sights and sounds of the city always bring me inspiration and comfort. I love my home.
