The Best Revlon Hair Tools for Every Day Hair

Many of you have asked me about my go-to hairstyles. In partnership with Revlon, I'll be sharing my two most common go to's - straight and slightly curly. I also normally put in some sort of heat-protected serum before styling my hair as well.

The second look for tousled curls, I used the Revlon Salon Advanced Copper Ceramic 1” Curling Iron. Featuring professional high heat, this fast heat-up curling iron reaches salon temperatures for fast styling and glamorous curls that last. Perfect for all hair types as this too has temperature adjustments. 5 settings to be exact! It literally took me less than twenty minutes to go from straight to this! Happy Monday! Roughly a year ago, I posted a story about my Inner Katie, a SATC (Sex & the City) reference many will know. Simple, straight-haired girls vs.; wild, curly-haired girls. I'm definitely the latter. Ha ha! Even though I'm half-Asian, my Polish roots are literally in my hair! All joking aside, it's true. Short story: I originally had jet-black straight hair up until around the age of 7 or 8. That's when my hair decided to have a life of its own and went wavy. Ever since then, my hair's texture has been this way. Not that I'm complaining. I'm lucky I'm able to work in different hairstyles. And when, like many other girls, discovered Carrie Bradshaw's fashion sense and her famous, wild curls, I had to give this look a try!

As much as I adore this hairstyle, it has always taken me up to at least an hour to do. But not anymore. I started with HerStyler's Argan Oil Complete Hair Care Set, first washing with the shampoo which was rich in lather and soft to the touch. My hair afterward felt ultra clean and weightless. Start by dividing hair into two sections, leaving the bottom half down. To begin curling, I grab not too thin and not too thick strands of hair. (Between 1-1.5" in width) Always curl away from the face. I received a heat-protective glove included with the hair tools because it is that searing hot! Be careful as you can easily burn yourself. Like I mentioned before, other curling irons in the past used to have me spend too much time to get this hairdo, but with HerStyler's curling wand, I was able to finish it in twenty minutes! My hair is extra thick, so many hair products in the past would not suffice. Trust me when I tell you this, HerStyler is the way to go, for any hair type! If any of you gals are huge fans of SATC, you'll know what I'm referencing to. How many of you are Katie girls? We're talking about the ones with that 'wild curly hair'. When I was in college, and also when SATC was still airing on TV, I had become quite infatuated with the character, Carrie Bradshaw's Boticelli-esque, ever-flowing ringlets. (Not to mention her all-around adorableness.) And I had begun a new hair cycle.

But I stopped doing this regularly because quite frankly, I don't have the time! It takes me about an hour to complete curling my hair! Sometimes I'll straighten it because it isn't as time-consuming as it is with the curling iron but for the most part I just leave my hair all-natural. Since I haven't really done my hair like this in many years, I was really in the mood to have some big hair today! What's even better? The morning-after hair! The curls will still be intact, but looser and more bedhead. Which is my favorite because it's carefree yet rebellious. What do you think of my curls? Are you into this style?

I have a confession to make on top of secretly crushing on Ms. Bradshaw. The cardigan I'm wearing from Bergdorf's belongs to my husband! It's my favorite cashmere piece and I'll admit that I stole it! He barely ever wears it because I always do during this season! Ha ha ha! It's so soft and comfortable, plus the lil' after smell of the hubs is always a plus.

I've had this jersey dress since I first moved to New York City! That's nearly 10 years ago! I love the versatility of it. You can wear it all four seasons and playing around to mix and match the dress with different pieces is always so much fun. I love that you can even wear it off the shoulder, making it a bit more romantic and sexy.

Last but not least are the riding boots I'm wearing from Ralph Lauren. I love wearing these during the Fall. They pair perfectly with leggings, mid-skirts or dresses. Tights too! I love boots that aren't too high-heeled. I have a ton of running around to do and need something that won't kill me by the end of the day. I know some of you ladies only wear heels, and I have to say, I don't know how you do it!
