With crazy work schedules finding the time for 'Date Night' can be rather difficult, especially in this day in age where everything is moving at full speed and we're constantly on the go, if I'm not running around to meetings/appointments and events I'm shooting, editing and designing. I guess you can say I like keeping busy, too much so... And now with MaQ + Suz growing bigger and better than ever, it's getting even more challenging to stop even. I love what I do to no end, and have some SERIOUS dreams, but being so driven can have its setbacks. For example, I don't know when to call it quits. Lately, I work 14-16hr+ days, and as exhausting as the workload can be all together, I still feel guilty when I'm not working. Even though I know everyone needs to recoup and rest, I still have trouble with the idea of just 'veggin' out'. I can't sit still for that long, I always feel the need to be doing something.

But I also think it's healthy to take the time to spend it with the ones you love. We don't do a constant ritual of any kind unlike some of my girlfriends who do a weekly date night of some kind, but we like to mix it up. Some nights we'll just run to some restaurant in our neighborhood for a quick bite, and then some nights like in today's post, we'll play dress up and go somewhere like Indochine (my ALL-TIME FAVORITE restaurant) or somewhere a little fancier. How insanely gorgeous are both of these statement pieces from To Be Adored?!

I wanted to show you guys two different ways to dress up for date night. Like myself, sometimes you want a more chill laidback look and then sometimes something a bit dressier for a different occasion. The first look is a gorgeous lilac dress with black accessories like ankles boots and a leather jacket for those chillier nights. I kept it a little spunky as I love to bring an edge to a girly dress, but you could also wear this dress with a polished hair bun and nude heels... even to a wedding! The dress is that incredible with a great range of ways to style, it's a great addition to any gal's wardrobe. Notice the matching material on the sleeves of the second look's shirt? I was so in love with how well each statement piece complemented each other and how versatile each one was too. Each garment is by London designer, To Be Adored and from their new SS17 collection. I styled the graphic (German cartoon) shirt with a pair of bell bottom crop jeans, patent slingbacks with added flower hair clips to bring a playful side to the look, and a vertically striped blue and gray suede bucket bag. I like to bring out the pop of colors from graphics within an outfit, which is why I chose different blue hues. What's your ideal date for date night, ladies? Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?

Today on the blog I’m showing you how to style a simple graphic tee with a collegiate vibe! This look is perfect for this temperamental weather that won't fully click into Spring just yet! (Even though it's the first day of spring... :::eyes rolling:::) With one of my oldest suit jackets I styled the Scooby-Doo t-shirt with ripped boyfriend jeans and loafers to give a casual chic look. I'm really digging the fit and comfort of the jeans. They're from a cute California boutique called Vagabond Honey and I love the boyish tone it brings to my look. To also bring a school-ish feel to my outfit I also accessorized with my Jill-E Designs smart tablet purse bag, a pair of retro shades and this cute choker I found to be so fitting with the t-shirt.

The choker is cute and gives the look a tiny edge while keeping it cool and laidback, and with my partner in crime, MaQ, no less, this is really one of my everyday looks for Spring! A lot of you have been asking about him, and I know you are missing him in action so I HAD to bring him in for a little feature of course (more dog content coming your way in early April), and short, adorable story: If MaQ had the voice of one character, I always have believed it to be Scoobs. I think every pet owner comes across this thought and has one person in particular for the part. Ha ha ha! I know it sounds silly, but I know it's true! He sends lots of bbo boo... MaQ has learned how to kiss in Korean! ;)

I got the Scooby-Doo tee, studded choker and the sunnies (all for under $75 together) from a shopping app called Luv.it, which I’ve previously written about them in this post. The app features smaller brands that you wouldn’t normally find at department stores, such as this graphic Scooby-Doo t-shirt which is from a brand called Eleven Paris or these amazing tortoise sunglasses from 80s Purple. I love how the app has a strong mix of styles from higher-end brands to middle and lower. I love combining the different 'hierarchies' of brands if you will, so Luv.it is definitely one of my current favorite fashion shopping apps. On the hunt for some new Spring and Summer pieces? Turquoise, Wool, and Leather – Introducing LuvIt!

In this day and age of technology, we rely on our phones for almost everything. From texting to social media, to video games and even shopping, I too can say I've been using my iPhone for these reasons, specifically many of my fashion needs aside from work-related ones. Apps are a terrific way to not only avoid hectic crowds and waiting in long lines at stores, but to also find great deals and to get what you're looking for efficiently and effectively. Ever see an outfit post on Instagram by one of your favorite bloggers and immediately want whatever it is they're wearing? Exactly. And what if I told you I discovered an app that pays you to shop?

LuvIt is the app that "luvs" you back. When you set up a style profile, you can automatically sign up using your Instagram and/or Facebook, letting you discover trends your friends are shopping for. The ability to create collections, which are folders filled with items you're "luving" at the moment, gives you full control over your feed. I "luv" that you can follow brands and people for specific categories so that you only see products on your feed that are truly relevant. Basically, less white noise. You can also find new brands each week, in addition to the 70+ that LuvIt already has available to shop from. Similar to other social media apps, you can like/heart (or "luv") products from the brands and friends you follow. The best part? Each time you make a purchase, you earn money back. Yes. You read correctly. And whenever someone else shops something you've "luved", you also make money. How cool is that?!

My most recent purchase through LuvIt was this gorgeous wool shirt sweater from Genuine People, and the whole process down from the ordering to the shipping, to the packaging and quality of the dress was stellar. The wool's dark charcoal nearly-black color complements with one of spring's hottest trending colors: Turquoise. Most Wanted USA is a handcrafted leather handbag and accessory line based in NYC for everyday wear and I absolutely adore this brand. The stunning, matching turquoise accessories – first with the Tiffany satchel in genuine suede and second the western leather belt are wonderful transitional accessory pieces for winter into spring. I believe a pop of color can lively up any kind of look, even mixing colors within different seasons like in this outfit. Being a fan of the socks and sandals trend, I couldn't help but style the wool dress with wool socks. Sometimes matchy-matchy does work!
